I had my laser eye surgery procedure done in August and the next day I could see things more clearly, the staff were all caring and helpful. I was very scared before but felt nothing and was reasssured throughout. it was a life changing experience and I'm glad I finally did it!

I had my procedure in December 2009, and I am so pleased with my sight, it is so much clearer now than when I wore glasses/contact lenses.I went for my consultation on the Monday and the earliest available date was the Wednesday of that same week (my husband told me to go for it - the sooner I had the op, the sooner I would be able to see! and this was two weeks before Christmas). So I signed up there and then.
The whole team at Wetherby are wonderful and I was so at ease with everyone, the way the surgeons talk you through everything that is going on in the theatre is particularly reassuring. Simon is so helpful and easy to speak to in all the consultations and knowing that most of the employees have had the surgery makes you feel that they know what they are talking about.
I recommend Accuvision at Wetherby to everybody that I speak to (even if they don't wear glasses!).
If you are thinking of having laser surgery on your eyes - I will tell you to definitely have it done as you will not regret it. Not having to reach for your glasses on a morning is the best feeling in the world.
I now take it for granted that I can see and wearing glasses/contact lenses is a very distant memory.

I had been considering Laser surgery for years, done hours of research online and visited Optimax & Optical Express before contacting Accuvision at Wetherby. My prescription was -5.75 and -6.00 and I have slightly thin corneas which caused problems for Optimax & Optical Express.
I spoke to Simon at Wetherby, and had a consultation, he talked me through the process, explained why having thinner corneas could cause problems, and how Accuvision's laser, being faster and more accurate than the other's, could cope with my needs. That was it, no pressure, no 'book now and you'll get a good price' simply what I wanted to know, when I wanted to know it. I booked my surgery date, and continued to bombard Simon with e-mail questions for the 3 weeks between my consultation and surgery date (yesterday (30th June) @ 9am!). All my questions were answered the same day so, by the time my surgery came round, I had no nerves or apprehension at all!!
I met Prashant and Daryus, my surgery team on the day, both of whom made me feel relaxed and at home.
The surgery took less than 10 minutes, NO PAIN AT ALL!!! and when I got off the bed I could see!!!! It was a bit like being under water, but I could read the clock on the wall!!!!
I went home, rested, put my eye drops in as instructed and by 7pm could see very clearly (in fact I annoyed my wife because I was reading car number plates and signs as we went for a little walk!)
I can't praise and recommend Accuvision @ Wetherby highly enough, from the lovely Kim on reception, to Simon who'll answer any question and put your mind at rest, to the surgical team, who'll talk you through the procedure and make you feel so comfortable.
All I can say is go and talk to them, compare with others if you want, I did, but without doubt, you'll go back to Accuvision for the treatment.

and the speed at which my sight improved, but also by the professionalism of
the team and the way that, throughout the whole process, every step of the
way was talked through calmly and clearly, thereby negating any possible
concerns. Also there were no long waits.

I still can't believe that I can see things so clear without my glasses or contact lenses when I wake up every morning. Because I was so 'blind' for so long. (I was -7.00 in both eyes.) Thanks ever so much to the Accuvision Team! They are excellent, professional and friendly. I was nervous about the surgery, but they gave me total confidence for the surgery, the procedure was quick and pain free, the recovery was amazingly fast. Now, I have better vision than ever before. I would recommend Accuvision to friends and family members as well as everyone who is considering laser eye treatment! They are great!!!!
