I had worn glasses/contact lenses for nearly 50 years, with a high prescription. About 10 days ago I had the AccuWave Lasik Laser Eye Surgery treatment and I can honestly say it has changed my life, I did not believe my sight would be this good.
My thanks to all at Solihull for the care and attention I received, particularly Nick for pre-op care and after care, and to Becky for all her help.

All my life I have worn glasses. For a long time I tried everything. Rigid contact lenses, soft contact lenses but it was not what I wanted. In addition to this I was short-sighted (-6.5) and had astigmatism.
I thought about it for more than 20 year (a long time). All the time there was always something that put it out of my reach.
One year ago I started on the internet to look for an appropriate company and finally found Accuvision. It was then I knew I had found what I wanted.
And now the procedure. My LASIK op was on 8th of April. It is absolutely painless really, really. The only thing I was scared of was that although I am British my first language is not English. During my operation I thought about what would happen if there was something I did not understand. It sounds funny now but it was not so at the time, however everything went well. Outstanding! I am recommending it to all my friends.
I would like to say thanks to all the team and especially my surgeon Mr Chad Rostron. They were all amazing! Thanks again!
One more thing - It is very important that for 24 hours after the op please do all that you are asked to do, it is essential for a quick recovery.

Outstanding! I am recommending to all my friends. Totally painless and stress free and had 20:20 vision the next day. The team were extremely confident and professional and put me at my ease straight away. I had heard a few horror stories so I was very nervous but couldn't believe how easy and quick it all was. I can't recommend it enough - it is bliss to be contact lens free.

I was very impressed with Nick & the team at Accuvision Solihull right from the consultation. The whole experience was very professional and all the staff are friendly. I had worn contact lenses for 20 years and it took me a few years to make the commitment to have the surgery but I wish I had done it many many years ago.

A fantastic experience! Very friendly, no sales pressure at all. The technology is amazing (they talk you through every aspect) and the procedure itself was quite literally a zero pain process. No discomfort at all after the procedure. I had a severe (+5) astigmatism in both eyes which is now fixed. I've ditched my glasses - both for reading and long distance. Best thing I ever did.
